Ramon Laureano Set For CT Scan Thursday
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) said he didn't feel entirely right gripping and swinging the bat pregame and will undergo a CT scan on Thursday. He was initially in Wednesday's lineup as the team's starting right fielder but was a late scratch with a right-hand injury. The 27-year-old underwent x-rays on Sunday after exiting Saturday's game early after being hit by a pinch, which returned negative. The CT scan will determine if the A's outfielder is dealing with a significant injury. Luis Barrera should see an uptick in at-bats while Laureano is sidelined. Barrera went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI during Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Seattle Mariners.
