Appearing as a pinch-hitter on the same day, he stepped to the plate in the eighth with three runs already in and a pair of runners on base. The 38-year-old drilled a three-run home run to left as the Mets' huge eighth resulted in a 6-1 victory. With Nimmo injured and on the sidelines, Davis figures to be a regular contributor with the Mets at this point, surely seeing some starts and appearing late in games.--RDelgado
