Raimel Tapia Caught Stealing In SF

Colorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia was perfect in his one opportunity at the plate on Sunday as he smacked a single in the top of the ninth inning, but it quickly fell apart when starting pitcher German Marquez failed to bunt him over to second and Tapia took matters into his own hands instead. Given that the team had a four-run lead at the time, Tapia had the freedom to try to move himself up. Instead, he was quickly gunned down by catcher Buster Posey. Tapia has seen increased opportunities over the last week as left fielder David Dahl has been on the injured list due to a core injury, but outside of a triple, Tapia hasbeen pretty much living up to the expectation that he's nothing more than a mediocre hitter who brings nothing but batting average to the table.
