Raiders Defense To Be Run By Gus Bradley
4 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders are hiring Gus Bradley as their next defensive coordinator on Tuesday. Bradley spent the last four seasons running the Los Angeles Chargers Defense. He also had a stint as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013-16 and will take over after Paul Guenther was fired during the middle of the 2020 season. Bradley made his name as a defensive guru with the Seattle Seahawks from 2009-12 and helped the feared Legion of Boom unit to a Super Bowl title. He prefers to coach a 4-3 defensive scheme that uses a bunch of Cover-3 formations to force opponents to dink and dunk underneath. Bradley will take over a Raiders unit that finished 29th in the league in sacks (21) and tied for 29th in fumble recoveries (five) while allowing the third-most points (478) and the seventh-most passing yards per game (271.4) in 2020.
