The Seattle Mariners selected Oklahoma State second baseman Kaden Polcovich with the 78th overall pick in the third round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. They followed that up with Ole Miss third baseman Tyler Keenan in the fourth round and Cal Poly pitcher Taylor Dollard in the fifth round to wrap things up. Polcovich is undersized at 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, but the switch-hitter can swing it and offers tremendous versatility on the diamond. Keenan is all about power and also makes consistent contact, but his lack of range at third base will likely mean a shift to first base in the pros. Dollard, a righty, doesn't have wow stuff but features a four-pitch mix and is tall and athletic. There isn't much starting experience there, but he has thrown strikes consistently in his college career.--Keith HernandezRead More News
