1 year agoNew England Patriots running back Pierre Strong Jr. has been on the James White track from the get-go, and Strong is far from the first Patriots draft pick to "redshirt" at the position as a rookie. His breakaway speed and short-area agility lend themselves to a role as a receiving back in the Patriots offense, although it's been a challenging role to grasp for younger players historically. On his 10 carries in 2022, Strong had three runs of 10-plus yards and two runs of 15-plus yards, so the potential for big plays is there. The 24-year-old could complement Rhamondre Stevenson as the lightning to Stevenson's thunder in 2023.
