Phillip Lindsay Injures Foot In Season Opener
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay (foot) injured his foot in the first half of the 16-14 Monday night loss to the Titans and didn't return after halftime. Lindsay finished with seven carries for just 24 yards and one catch for 11 yards. We'll have to wait and see how serious Lindsay's injury is. If he's forced to miss any time, Melvin Gordon III will be the clear backfield leader with Royce Freeman spelling him. The good news for Lindsay owners is that he was in a near-even timeshare with Gordon in the first half, and the Broncos could go with more of a hot-hand approach down the road between the two backs. But as long as Gordon is healthy, Lindsay is a low-upside RB3/flex.
