Phillip Lindsay Extension Not A Priority
5 years agoThe Denver Broncos aren't prioritizing a contract extension for running back Phillip Lindsay as they work through the early part of the offseason. Lindsay is eligible for a new contract after just his second season because he was an undrafted free agent. He'll count only $665,000 against the salary cap in 2020. Lindsay has ranked ninth in the NFL in rushing yards (2,048), 13th in attempts (416) and is tied for 11th in rushing touchdowns (16) in the last two seasons. Denver could do a deal with Lindsay if they have leftover salary cap space. Lindsay's fantasy upside is a bit capped as long as he continues to share the backfield with Royce Freeman, but he still has RB2/3 appeal in the majority of leagues.
