Philip Rivers Not Practicing Wednesday
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said that quarterback Philip Rivers (toe) will not practice on Wednesday, which has been the case every week since he injured his toe. Rivers hasn't missed any game action, though, and has been much better as a fantasy passer in recent weeks than he was to begin the 2020 season. However, the 39-year-old gunslinger has faced pretty easy matchups in the last three weeks -- the Texans twice and a fading Raiders squad -- so he'll be more of a midrange/low-end QB2 in Week 16 against a Steelers team trying to avoid their fourth straight loss after being the NFL's final unbeaten team. Pittsburgh's defense has lost some of their luster due to key injuries to their linebacking corps, but they should still make things difficult on Rivers.
