2 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has returned from playing in the World Baseball Classic with Team USA and is back in the Grapefruit League lineup on Thursday against the Atlanta Braves and left-hander Jared Shuster. Alonso is at first base and is hitting cleanup in the batting order. The 28-year-old slugger was rather quiet in the WBC, but he'll return to a .286 average (6-for-21) with three home runs, four RBI and five runs scored in eight games in Grapefruit League play. Alonso remains an elite power option in fantasy leagues, and he's ranked as RotoBaller's No. 3 fantasy first baseman, behind only Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Freddie Freeman.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
