Colorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz makes his season debut on Thursday night versus the Nashville Predators. He will be up against Juuse Saros. Francouz has not played since 2020 after suffering a catastrophic ankle injury during that season. He basically did a rehab assignment in the AHL. In 2019-20, Francouz went 21-7-4 for the Avalanche with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. Facing live NHL action for the first time in almost two seasons will be an excellent litmus test for the 31-year old Czech goaltender. He may even get a few games with Darcy Kuemper in COVID-19 protocol. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
