Patriots, Tom Brady No Closer To Agreement
5 years agoThe New England Patriots and impending free-agent quarterback Tom Brady are no closer to an agreement just six days before he'll officially hit the open market. There is an air of uncertainty around whether the future Hall of Famer will actually return to New England. Owner Robert Kraft hopes that Brady will return, but he's letting head coach Bill Belichick handle everything. Brady had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career in 2019, but he also didn't have much to work with in the passing game outside of Julian Edelman. Does he seek another team that will give him a better chance to succeed in what could be his final NFL season? It's possible. Either way, Brady will be more of a low-upside QB2 for fantasy purposes in 2020, but his ultimate landing spot will paint a better picture.
