Patrick Kane Ends Dry Spell With Two Goals
2 years agoChicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane ended a four-game spell without a point with a two-goal effort Friday against Ottawa, playing a big part in a 4-3 overtime victory. He opened the scoring with only 44 seconds played in the game and provided a late tying goal with 3:05 left in regulation. The veteran star reached 11 goals for the campaign and is on 37 points through 51 appearances. It's been a lackluster season for the former MVP, who averaged at least a point per game in nine of the previous 10 campaigns. A trade to a contender would definitely give Kane a lift for the final stretch of the season, but it's still uncertain if he actually moves on before the March 3 trade deadline.
