Patrick Cantlay Coming off Historic Putting Performance at BMW Championship

Last week at the BMW Championship, Patrick Cantlay gained 14.6 strokes putting, good for the best putting performance of the shot-link era. While regression with the flat-stick feels imminent, Cantlay is still capable of relying on his ball-striking. The UCLA product profiles well for East Lake statistically, ranking first in this field in scrambling, third in bogey avoidance, and third in greens in regulation gained over his last 36 rounds. With that being said, Cantlay has never performed well at this course, losing an average of 1.2 strokes per round to the field across 12 career rounds at the iconic Donald Ross venue.
