4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers plan to activate running back Christian McCaffrey (ankle) from Injured Reserve this weekend, and he's expected to play in Week 9 against the Chiefs. The first overall fantasy selection in most drafts is set to return for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 2. The 24-year-old All-Pro has looked fresh and sharp while practicing in full this week, so fantasy managers can safely lock him back into their starting lineups as a high-end RB1 against the defending Super Bowl champions. Mike Davis, who filled in admirably as the team's lead back with McCaffrey on IR, will return to a backup role and won't really have any standalone fantasy value.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
