Panthers Sign Jacob Eason To Futures Deal
2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers signed quarterback Jacob Eason to a Reserve/Futures deal on Tuesday. Eason began the 2022 season with the Seattle Seahawks but was cut before the season and signed with the Panthers practice squad. He served as QB insurance for Carolina behind Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker in 2022 and got into just one game in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams, completing three of his five attempts for 59 yards and an interception. The 25-year-old was eventually cut by Carolina and landed on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad late in the year before being cut this month. Eason will return to Carolina for now to continue serving as QB depth.
