Panthers Rule Chuba Hubbard Out Against Falcons
2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers have ruled out running back Chuba Hubbard (ankle) for the Week 8 contest versus the Atlanta Falcons. With Hubbard out, D'Onta Foreman will lead the backfield and will be backed up by Raheem Blackshear and Spencer Brown. Foreman had 118 yards on 15 carries in the Week 7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first game without Christian McCaffrey. Hubbard's ankle injury was initially believed to be minor, but he wasn't able to practice this week and won't play on Sunday. It remains to be seen if he'll be ready to return in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals. With Hubbard out, Foreman becomes a much more attractive fantasy RB with RB2 upside in the matchup against the Falcons.
