2 weeks agoElizeu Zaleski Dos Santos suffered a unanimous decision loss to Randy Brown on the main card of UFC 302 on Saturday. Zaleski dos Santos was 2-0-1 in his last three, with the draw coming in November against Rinat Fakhretdinov. He proved a tough test for Brown, who nearly got submitted in the second round. Ultimately, his effort wasn't enough, as Brown took the first and second rounds, cutting Zaleski dos Santos with knees along the way. In 15 minutes, Zaleski dos Santos landed four takedowns and 26 significant strikes.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

2 weeks agoRandy Brown extended his win streak to three with a hard-fought decision win over Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC 302 on Saturday. Brown was coming off a first-round knockout win against Muslim Salikhov and in the first round, Brown had a ton of success outstriking 34-to-9. In the second round, however, dos Santos had nearly four minutes of control and nearly got a submission win. After dropping the second round, Brown took over in the third round as he outstruck the Brazilian 25-to-14 to get the decision win. With the win, Brown improved to 13-5 in the UFC and should get a ranked opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 weeks agoAlex Morono suffered a decision loss to Niko Price at UFC 302. Morono entered the fight as the betting favorite, and he had a good first round as he outstruck Price 34-to-16 and had Price in a submission attempt. However, after the first round, Morono - who took the fight on short notice - began to slow down and Price took over. Morono was outstruck in the final two rounds to drop a decision. With the loss, Morono is now 13-7 and one NC in the UFC and has alternated wins and losses in his last five fights.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 weeks agoNiko Price scored a decision win over Alex Morono on the main card of UFC 302 to return to the win column. Price entered the fight as the underdog as he was 1-3 in his last four and in the first round, he struggled as Morono had him in a submission attempt. After the first round, Price took over as Morono looked to slow down as he outstruck Morono 34-to-21 in the second round and 58-to-41 in the third round to get the decision win. With the victory, Price is now 16-7 and 2 NC and is now 8-7 and 2 NC in the UFC as the win at UFC 302 likely saved his job.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 weeks agoPaulo Costa suffered a split decision loss to Sean Strickland in the co-main event of UFC 302. Costa was coming off a decision loss to Robert Whittaker back in February and early on, Costa had success as he outstruck Strickland in the first two rounds. However, the Brazilian appeared to slow down as Strickland began to up his pressure and took over in the later rounds. Costa was outstruck in the final three rounds and was outstruck 182-to-158 over the five rounds to drop a decision. With the loss, Costa is now 14-4 as a pro and 6-4 in the UFC while being 1-4 in his last five fights. The Brazilian will likely need to fight someone ranked behind him after UFC 302.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoSean Strickland improved to 29-6 with a split decision win over Paulo Costa at UFC 302. Strickland was fighting for the first time since losing his middleweight title back in January and he used his jab to piece up Costa. As the fight went on, Strickland began to take over as he upped his volume and pressure. Strickland ended up outstriking Costa 182-to-158 as he edged out the decision win. With the victory, Strickland could be getting another crack at the UFC's middleweight title next time out.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoNext Saturday, Islam Makhachev (25-1) puts his lightweight title on the line against Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 302. Makhachev cemented his position as the #1 pound-for-pound fighter with a brutal first-round knockout victory against Alexander Volkanovski in October after defeating him in a very competitive decision earlier that year. Makhachev enters the fight as the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,500. Makhachev is 14-1 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoThis Saturday in the main event of UFC 302, former interim titleholder Dustin Poirier will have what is most likely his final chance at the promotion's lightweight title. He is set to face off against UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Poirier got back in the win column in his last fight by knocking out Benoit Saint-Denis back in March at UFC 299. Heading into this fight, Poirier is a sizeable underdog, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $6,700. In his UFC career, he's averaging 81.8 fantasy points per fight.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

2 weeks agoKevin Holland (25-11) and Michal Oleksiejczuk are set to go to war this weekend at UFC 302 inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Holland is coming off consecutive losses to Jack Della Maddalena and Michael Page but remains a top draw in the organization despite only two wins in his last five outings. He enters this fight as the favorite, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,000. Throughout his UFC career (20 bouts), he averages 70.5 fantasy points per contest.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoMichal Oleksiejczuk (19-7) is set to face off against Kevin Holland this Saturday on the main card of UFC 302. Oleksiejczuk faced Michel Pereira in his last fight and lost via a rear naked choke. His upcoming match against Holland, who is returning to the middleweight after mixed results at welterweight, represents a significant opportunity. DraftKings sees Oleksiejczuk as the underdog with a salary of $7,200. Throughout his UFC career (13 bouts), he averages 68.2 fantasy points per contest. Next for Oleksiejczuk, with a victory at UFC 302, would be a fight with a ranked opponent. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

2 weeks agoOn Saturday, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos will face Randy Brown in a UFC 302 welterweight fight at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In his last fight, Zaleski dos Santos (24-7-1) fought Rinat Fakhretdinov to a majority draw. DraftKings sees Zaleski dos Santos as the underdog with a salary of $7,700. Throughout his UFC career (14 bouts), he averages 64.6 fantasy points per contest. In the UFC, Zaleski dos Santos is 10-3-1 with four of his wins by stoppage.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoRandy Brown (18-5) is set to take on Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos on the main card of UFC 302 on Saturday. Brown enters the bout on a two-fight winning streak as he's coming off a knockout win back in February. Heading into UFC 302, DraftKings has Brown as the favorite with a salary of $8,500. In the UFC, Brown is 12-5 and has won six times by stoppage, and has been finished in four of his five losses. A win over the Brazilian should get Brown a ranked opponent at welterweight next time out.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoNiko Price (15-7 with two no-contests) is set to rematch Alex Morono on the main card of UFC 302 on Saturday. Price was supposed to fight Jeremiah Wells, but his opponent pulled out and was replaced by Morono. The American enters the bout on a two-fight losing streak and is 1-4 with one no-contest in his last five fights. Price enters the bout as an underdog, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,300. In the UFC, Price is 7-7 with two no-contests and could be fighting for his job on Saturday.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoAlex Morono (24-9 and one no-contest) is set to rematch Niko Price on Saturday at UFC 302. Morono is making a quick turnaround after beating Court McGee just two months ago to step up on short notice to rematch Price. The two fought back in 2017, and Price won by knockout, but it was overturned to a no-contest after Price tested positive for marijuana. Heading into the rematch, Morono is a sizeable favorite, as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,900. In the UFC, Morono is 13-6-1 with one no-contest and has won nine times by decision, while he's only been finished in two of his losses. A win over Price could get Morono a ranked opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
2 weeks agoPaulo Costa (14-3) is set to face Sean Strickland in the co-main event of UFC 302 on Saturday. The bout will be a five-round fight despite it not being for the belt. Costa is coming off a decision loss to Robert Whittaker which ended his year-long layoff after he beat Luke Rockhold by decision. Heading into his UFC 302 fight, Costa is the underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,400. In the UFC, Costa is 6-3 with four of his wins by knockout while he's only been finished in one of the losses. If Costa pulls off the upset he would likely be a win away from a title shot.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
