Max Scherzer Should Rejoin Rotation Soon

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Max Scherzer (thumb) is on the verge of returning to the big league rotation. The veteran right-hander threw 79 pitches over 4 2/3 innings during his most recent rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday. Rangers' manager Bruce Bochy said on Sunday that Scherzer would rejoin the Rangers as long as he bounces back well from his latest rehab start. That being said, Scherzer could end up making his season debut at some point next week.
