Xander Schauffele A Top-10 Lock At U.S. Open
6 months agoWithout a doubt, Xander Schauffele has been the second-best golfer in the world this season next to Scottie Scheffler. The 30-year-old Tour star has been dominant in 2024, making every single cut and posting nine top-10 finishes in just 15 starts this calendar year, including his first Major victory at the PGA Championship less than a month ago. Equally as impressive, Schauffele has six top-10 finishes in his seven career US Open starts, with a 14th place finish in 2022 being his only non-top-10 result. He should continue this elite level of performance at this year's rendition, as he ranks fourth in total driving, fourth in weighted approach play, fifth in scrambling, seventh in putting, sixth in bogey avoidance, and top-15 in long and difficult courses over the last 24 rounds. Schauffele should be a near-lock for fantasy managers and top-10 bettors at Pinehurst this week.
