Mauricio Ruffy suffered a second-round submission loss to Benoit Saint Denis in the co-main event of UFC Paris on Saturday. Ruffy wasn't able to get his offence going as he got taken down time and time again by Saint Denis. The Frenchman really started pushing the pace in the second round and quickly got on Ruffy's back. On Saturday, Benoit Saint Denis won back-to-back fights by defeating Mauricio Ruffy via second-round submission in the co-main event of UFC Paris. Saint Denis landed an early takedown and was able to control the majority of the opening round. In the second round, Saint Denis got Ruffy's back, looked to secure the rear-naked choke and soon after, he did just that, submitting Ruffy via rear-naked choke. On Saturday, UFC veteran Paul Craig retired after his first-round knockout loss to Modestas Bukauskas on the main card of UFC Paris. There wasn't much Craig could do as he was outclassed on the feet and hurt on a few occasions before getting finished. Near the end of the opening round, Bukauskas unleashed a barrage of elbows on Craig that busted him open. Bukauskas stood up when the bell rang, but Craig didn't, as he was knocked out. Bukauskas was hounding Craig from the beginning of the fight and had him hurt a few times before finishing him. Bolaji Oki suffered a second-round TKO loss to Mason Jones on the main card of UFC Paris on Saturday. Oki came out guns blazing, dropping Jones and was to finish him, but Jones managed to survive, and he quickly flipped the script in the second round. Jones took Oki down and finished him with a barrage of elbows, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight. In 8:18 of action, Oki landed 38 significant strikes. McKee was on his second stint in the promotion but had struggled in both stints, with just one win in five fights. Throughout this fight, it was evident that McKee's punches were more powerful while Sola was faster on the feet. The finish came in the third round, when Sola, after dropping McKee with a left to the body, followed up with a barrage of punches, prompting Herb Dean to stop the fight. The first round could've gone either way, but the second round went to Ruchala, who was able to take Gomis down and control him.
