4 days agoMiles Johns (14-2, one no-contest) is set to take on Douglas Silva de Andrade on the main card of UFC Vegas 93. Johns is coming off a decision win over Cody Gibson back in March and will be returning just three months later. Since changing gyms, Johns has found success and is 3-1 with one no-contest in his last four fights. DraftKings has Johns at a salary of $8,000, while in the UFC, the bantamweight contender is 5-2 with one no-contest and has finished two of his five wins. He's been finished just one time. 4 days agoTimmy Cuamba (8-2) will be making the walk to the Octagon for the second time as he looks for his first UFC win when he takes on Lucas Almeida at UFC Vegas 93. Cuamba stepped up on short notice up a weight class at lightweight in February and lost a split decision to Bolaji Oki. He now returns to his natural weight class of featherweight to face Almeida. Heading into the fight, Cuamba is the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,800. Almeida enters the bout on a two-fight losing streak as he was knocked out by Andre Fili in the first round back in December after being submitted by Pat Sabatini. With Almeida being on a two-fight losing streak, he enters his UFC Vegas 93 fight as the underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,400. Almeida is 1-2 in the UFC with his lone winning coming by knockout as he is a kill-or-be-killed fighter. 7 days agoThe main event of UFC Louisville featured a back-and-forth battle between Jared Cannonier and Nassourdine Imavov where Imavov scored a controversial fourth-round TKO. Imavov landed a big punch that hurt Cannonier but he managed to recover quickly. Unfortunately for Cannonier, the referee decided to stop the fight. Most of the fans and experts thought that the stoppage was way too early. At 16:34 of action, Cannonier landed a takedown and 64 significant strikes. We just might see these two run it back again, hopefully without controversy the next time they fight. With the loss, Cannonier's MMA record drops to 17-7.Source: UFC

He managed to defeat the former title challenger, Jared Cannonier, by a TKO, when he landed a big punch on Cannonier, wobbling Cannonier. It looked like Cannonier recovered but the referee decided to stop the fight. In 16:34 of action, Imavov landed two takedowns and 82 significant strikes. With this win, Imavov may have punched his ticket to the top five of the UFC's middleweight division.Source: UFC
7 days agoBrunno Ferreira made a statement on the UFC's middleweight division, knocking out Dustin Stoltzfus at UFC Louisville on Saturday. After a brief brawl, Ferreira stepped back and delivered a devastating spinning back elbow to Stoltzfus, securing a TKO victory in the first round. In 4:51 of action, Ferreira landed 24 significant strikes. 31-year-old Ferreira improved his record to 11-1 and secured his second victory in a row. Source: UFC
7 days agoDustin Stoltzfus suffered a TKO loss to Brunno Ferreira on the main card of UFC Louisville. Stoltzfus struggled to gain momentum, continuing a trend of alternating wins and losses in his past four fights. At the end of the first round, Ferreira lunged forward with a spinning elbow that dropped Stoltzfus. He managed to get back up on his feet but the referee decided to stop the fight. In 4:51 of action, Stoltzfus landed a takedown and 18 significant strikes. After this fight, Stoltzfus' MMA record dropped to 15-6.Source: UFC
7 days agoMiguel Baeza suffered a unanimous decision loss to Punahele Soriano on the main card of UFC Louisville. Baeza was looking to get back in the win column after a 3-fight losing streak. Unfortunately for Baeza, he was dominated for the majority of the fight. In 15 minutes of action, Baeza landed only seven significant strikes, compared to Soriano who landed 144. Because Baeza was defeated in his last four fights, this just might have been his last fight in the promotion.Source: UFC
7 days agoPunahele Soriano returned to winning ways when he defeated Miguel Baeza at UFC Louisville. Before moving down to welterweight, Soriano lost his last two fights. Soriano had a dominant performance, almost from start to finish. The fight was never close and the outcome was never in question as Soriano earned a one-sided decision to open the UFC Louisville main card. In 15 minutes of action, Soriano landed five takedowns and 144 significant strikes. This was a do-or-die fight for Soriano who was, before this fight, 1-4 in his last five.

1 week agoJulian Marquez suffered a 20-second knockout loss to Zach Reese at UFC Louisville on Saturday. Marquez was ending his 15-month layoff and right when the bell rang, Reese began walking down Marquez. Marquez was kicked in the body which appeared to hurt him. Reese then landed a big uppercut that dropped Marquez and he was finished off with hammerfists on the ground. With the loss, Marquez is now 9-5 as a pro and 3-4 in the UFC while is now on a three-fight losing skid and could be released following the loss.Source: UFC
1 week agoZach Reese scored a 20-second knockout win over Julian Marquez on the main card of UFC Louisville. Reese was coming off a KO loss to Cody Brundage in his UFC debut back in December. Reese landed a big body kick which did appear to hurt Marquez and followed it up with an uppercut that knocked Marquez out just 20 seconds into the fight. With the win, Reese is now 1-1 in the UFC and is 7-1 as a pro with all of his fights ending in the first round.Source: UFC
1 week agoRicky Turcios suffered a second-round submission loss to Raul Rosas Jr. on Saturday on the main card of UFC Louisville. Turcios entered the fight as the underdog, and he struggled to defend the takedowns of Rosas Jr. as he was controlled for over three minutes in the first round. In the second round, Turcios was taken down twice, eventually giving up his back and being submitted by a rear-naked choke. With the loss, Turcios is now 2-2 in the UFC and has alternated wins and losses since winning TUF 28.Source: UFC

Rosas Jr. entered the fight as the favorite and in the first round, he got Turcios down and had 3:40 of control time. After dominating the first round on the mat, Rosas Jr. got Turcios back down to the ground and eventually ahold of his back and sunk in a rear naked choke. With the win, Rosas Jr. is now 9-1 as a pro and 3-1 in the UFC, with all three wins coming by stoppage. Rosas Jr. is now likely a win away from fighting a ranked opponent.Source: UFC
1 week agoDustin Jacoby suffered a first-round knockout loss to Dominick Reyes at UFC Louisville on Saturday. Jacoby entered the fight as the favorite, and from the get-go, he was active on the feet landing some heavy shots. But, Jacoby got caught by a hook that sent him stumbling backwards and Reyes then landed a knee that dropped him. Jacoby wasn't able to recover as Reyes continued to land punches and the fight was stopped. With the loss, Jacoby is now on a two-fight losing streak and is 1-4 in his last five.Source: UFC
1 week agoDominick Reyes returned to the win column in a big way as he scored a first-round knockout win over Dustin Jacoby in the co-main event of UFC Louisville. Reyes last fought in November of 2022 when he was knocked out by Ryan Spann which was his fourth straight loss, and third in a row by KO. From the get-go, Reyes was active on the feet and landed a big hook that sent Jacoby stumbling. He then landed a knee that dropped Jacoby and after landing some more punches the ref stopped the fight. With the win, Reyes is now 13-4 as a pro and 7-4 in the UFC. A top-10 opponent is likely next for Reyes.Source: UFC
