2 weeks agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving had a field day during the team's 136-124 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. The All-Star guard finished with 35 points, seven assists, six rebounds, one block, and one turnover while shooting 13-for-20 from the floor and knocking down seven triples in the process. Irving couldn't be stopped no matter who guarded him and he didn't get to the line much either as he only shot and made two free throws in this contest. Whenever he's healthy, Irving is a threat to drop big points against any opponent.Source: ESPN
2 weeks agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic continued his triple-double magic during the team's upset loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday. The two-time MVP finished the game with 36 points, 21 rebounds, 11 assists, one block, and three turnovers while shooting 13-for-26 overall and 2-for-6 from beyond the arc. This is the type of performance that we've all grown accustomed to with Jokic which seems absurd. He's still the number-one fantasy asset in category and points leagues and he doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.Source: ESPN
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey became the third player this season to drop 50 or more points as he led the team to a 137-126 win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. The up-and-coming combo guard finished with exactly 50 points (career high) and chipped in seven rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and two turnovers while shooting 20-for-32 from the floor and 7-for-11 from deep. He only shot three free throws in this game, so the bulk of his points came from everywhere else on the floor. Maxey has quickly turned into a star during the early goings of this season and he may reach his first ever All-Star game if he continues this level of play.Source: ESPN
2 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers forward Isaac Okoro (knee) will miss his fourth consecutive game due to knee soreness as the team has already ruled him out for Monday's contest against the Sacramento Kings. The 22-year-old last played on November 3 until his knee started flaring up and forced him to sit out. While he remains sidelined, Caris LeVert will see big minutes off of the bench, while Georges Niang and Dean Wade will see the next most opportunities in the second unit. LeVert would be the best streaming option if available while Niang and Wade would be better suited for deeper leagues.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Jae Crowder (groin) was forced to exit the team's game on Saturday due to a groin strain and they have already ruled him out for Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls for the same reason. Crowder has been seeing almost 10 more minutes per contest this season after only playing 18 total games during the year prior. He's been a solid contributor off of the bench, but he hasn't been very fantasy-relevant just yet. While he's sidelined, MarJon Beauchamp and Pat Connaughton will likely see more minutes, but they would both be risky streaming options in shallower leagues.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoSacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox (ankle) is officially listed as doubtful to play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. The star guard has been out since October 29 as he continues to deal with a right ankle sprain, but the fact that he's considered doubtful instead of ruled out already is a good sign that he's trending in the right direction. Keon Ellis saw the start in the team's last game while Kevin Huerter saw even more opportunities throughout the game. Davion Mitchell also saw some more minutes off of the bench, but Ellis may be the better one to go to for streaming purposes if Huerter isn't available.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (foot) is questionable ahead of Monday's matchup with the Washington Wizards. The 24-year-old has a case of Plantar Fasciitis, forcing him to miss Toronto's previous game against the Boston Celtics. As a result, Malachi Flynn received some additional work, finishing with 12 points in 23 minutes. Unfortunately, Trent has struggled this season, so he hasn't been featured in as many fantasy lineups as usual. However, another absence would still keep Flynn relevant enough to consider streaming in deeper formats.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (foot) has received a questionable tag for the team's game on Monday against the Washington Wizards. He's currently dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot which has been known to keep players out for a while as a nagging injury that lasts quite a bit. The good news is that he was previously doubtful and received a slight upgrade to questionable, so this may not be as severe as other cases. If he doesn't suit up, Malachi Flynn and Gradey Dick would probably see more minutes off of the bench.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (calf) is expected to return for Monday's game against the Bulls. The former Blazer missed the last two games because of a calf strain, allowing Cameron Payne to enter the starting lineup. It's hard to say if Lillard will see a cap on his minutes, assuming he gets the green light. However, he'll at least be on the floor enough to force Payne to lose his streaming value.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (calf) has been ruled out against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night. James first suffered the calf contusion in the team's win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday and was originally listed as questionable, but has since been downgraded as they'll take on a tanking Trail Blazers team who has also been hit by the injury bug. Since they'll be without three starters and they're backup center, the Lakers probably decided to play it safe with James. While he's out, Rui Hachimura and Christian Wood should both see added minutes and can serve as solid streaming options. Anthony Davis will likely see a lot of minutes as well.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid (neck) was originally listed as questionable for the team's matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday but he was officially upgraded to available and he will play. The 24-year-old has been a big part of the team's success as the primary backup big man. He's seeing the most minutes per contest of his career so far this season and has turned that into a career-high mark in points, but outside of that he's only contributed a bit on the boards. He's more fantasy-relevant in deeper leagues, but he'll serve as a great streaming option whenever Karl-Anthony Towns or Rudy Gobert miss any time.Source: Jon Krawczynski
2 weeks agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Edwards (illness) has been upgraded from questionable to active and will play against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. Edwards was dealing with an illness, but it seems that it was not severe enough to keep him off of the court. The 22-year-old has taken a big leap so far this season as he's been the main source of the team's offense while contributing across almost all of the stat categories except for blocks. With their star player remaining in the lineup, he'll likely see his normal workload while Nickeil Alexander-Walker will continue to come off of the bench.Source: Jon Krawczynski
2 weeks agoChicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso (toe) has been downgraded from questionable to out on Sunday and will not face the Detroit Pistons. The 29-year-old hasn't missed a game this season up until now. He's played a Swiss-Army knife type of role for the team and has been a very good source of almost every stat category, especially as a very late draft pick. Jevon Carter and Ayo Dosunmu will probably be the two to benefit the most from Caruso's absence and they can be solid streaming options for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Naji Marshall (knee) has been listed as available on Sunday night against the Dallas Mavericks, which will be his first game of the season. The 25-year-old has been dealing with a knee contusion since the preseason and he's returning at a perfect time, as the team will be without Herbert Jones (fibula), CJ McCollum (lung), and Trey Murphy III (knee). Marshall will likely come off of the bench in his first game back but should see plenty of time with everyone banged up.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (fibula) has been ruled out of the team's game on Sunday night against the Dallas Mavericks. He's still dealing with a right fibula contusion and will miss his third consecutive game. While he remains out, Dyson Daniels will continue to see time with the starting five while Matt Ryan, Larry Nance Jr., and Naji Marshall should all see some opportunities off of the bench. Ryan would be a great streaming option if threes are needed, but the other two would likely be more trustworthy.Source: NBA Injury Report
