Vikings D/ST A Risky Play In Week 4
4 days agoThe Minnesota Vikings D/ST looks like a risky fantasy option once again in Week 4 despite the matchup with an underwhelming Panthers offense. The Vikings have given up 7.5 yards per attempt and the ninth-most passing yards through three games this season, making them a weak option to slot into fantasy lineups this weekend. They allowed 20, 34, and 28 points in their three games this season, so they shouldn't be treated as anything more than a dart throw this week and moving forward.Source: NFL.com
Jaguars D/ST Not On Fantasy Radar Against Falcons
4 days agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars defense looks to bounce back from an atrocious Week 3 effort on Sunday when they take on the Atlanta Falcons in London. The Jags D/ST was a popular streaming candidate last week taking on a rookie quarterback at home. This did not pan out in the slightest, as they were completely outmatched in almost all areas of the field. Quarterback C.J. Stroud finished with 280 passing yards and two touchdowns, which culminated in a 20-point drubbing for the Jags. While the Falcons have one of the least intimidating passing attacks in the entire NFL, they are a top-five rushing offense, so it's better to shy away from this defensive unit that has proven to be vulnerable in multiple spots.Source: ESPN
Zamir White Continues To See Minimal Usage
4 days agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White has been virtually non-existent for the Raiders over the past three games. White is the backup to the Raiders workhorse, Josh Jacobs, which has led to minimal opportunities and production. Through three weeks, White has totaled five carries for 24 yards, a lost fumble, and one reception for five yards. Six opportunities for 29 total yards and zero touchdowns in three games is minimal usage. White is a nonfactor in fantasy and should continue to be insignificant to the offense regardless of the matchup as long as Jacobs remains healthy. Fantasy managers can leave White on their waiver wires or stash him on the bench as an insurance back.Source: Associated Press – Josh Dubow
T.J. Hockenson An Elite TE1 Option In Week 4
4 days agoMinnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson will look to keep his strong start to the season going in Week 4, as the Vikings take on the Panthers. Hockenson has found himself averaging 17.0 PPR fantasy points through three games this season, good enough for the overall TE1 spot to start the year. The former Detroit Lion has taken on a crucial role in one of the most pass-heavy offenses in the league, which makes him one of the safest TE1 options for fantasy managers at what is a very shallow position once again. Hockenson is a must-start option.Source: NFL.com
Joey Bosa Misses Practice Again On Friday
4 days agoLos Angeles Chargers linebacker Joey Bosa (hamstring/toe) didn't practice on Friday, marking his third consecutive absence. The 28-year-old has three sacks this season, so it would be a tough blow to the Chargers defense if he's not available for the Week 4 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. He's considered questionable, so it appears he has a chance to be out there on Sunday. However, missing practice on a Friday is never a promising sign, so IDP managers should prepare to be disappointed.Source: Kris Rhim
Evan Engram A Dependable TE1 Heading Into Falcons Matchup
4 days agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram looks to continue his consistent season against Atlanta on Sunday. Engram sits at No. 3 among tight ends in receiving yards and targets, reaching at least five catches and 49 yards in each game thus far. He has been the most consistent producer in a middling Jaguar offense, giving fantasy managers a solid floor to work with. The Falcons were also just shredded by rookie tight-end Sam LaPorta last week, suggesting that Engram could get his first touchdown of '23. With WR Zay Jones out yet again, more looks should also go to Engram this week. Start him with confidence against ATL.Source: ESPN
Calvin Ridley A Shaky WR2 In Revenge Game Vs. Falcons
4 days agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley heads into a revenge matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this week in London. Ridley was infamously suspended for a year (Gambling) as a member of the Falcons and then traded to Jacksonville in 2022. The Alabama product started the year hot but has cooled off significantly in the past two weeks, as he now leads the NFL with 10 targets or more in drops. Ridley has caught five of 15 targets in this time span, for only 72 yards. He is quickly slipping as a trusted fantasy asset in the struggling Jags offense, and one more bad performance could relegate him to bench duty for fantasy managers. Still, Ridley is still seeing enough volume to be a solid fantasy starter especially with WR Zay Jones out another week, so better days are ahead for the 28-year-old. He projects as a low-end WR2 against his former team.Source: ESPN
Justin Jefferson Looks To Stay Hot Versus Panthers
4 days agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will look to keep up his strong start to the season in Week 4 against the Panthers, who have given up the ninth-fewest passing yards this season. Jefferson has logged games of 150, 159, and 149 receiving yards to start the 2023 campaign, as he has paced the entire NFL in receiving yardage to this point. He has just one touchdown up to this point which has put a cap on his production, but there is no reason to believe that he isn't capable of putting up better numbers in this department considering his talent level and role in the offense. Fantasy managers can once again treat the former LSU Tiger as one of the most valuable fantasy assets in Week 4.Source: NFL.com
Austin Ekeler Not Expected To Play Sunday
4 days agoAccording to ESPN's Kris Rhim, Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) isn't expected to play on Sunday versus the Raiders. The veteran injured his ankle in the regular-season opener against the Miami Dolphins and has missed the last two games. As a result, Joshua Kelley has been the top guy on the depth chart the last two weeks, although he hasn't taken advantage of his additional workload, totaling just 51 yards off 24 touches. Kelley is hard to trust entering Week 4. Yet, he still warrants consideration from managers in deeper fantasy setups. Regarding Ekeler, the Chargers have a bye on the horizon, meaning he might return for the Week 6 clash with the Dallas Cowboys.Source: Kris Rhim

Alexander Mattison Draws Solid Matchup In Week 4
4 days agoMinnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison will look to take advantage of a favorable matchup in Week 4 as the Vikings take on the Panthers, who have allowed the sixth-most rushing yards, 4.5 yards per carry, as well as six rushing touchdowns through three games this season. Mattison is coming off a solid effort in Week 3 where he rushed the ball 20 times for 93 yards and caught five passes on seven targets for 32 yards. Cam Akers may put a cap on his ceiling moving forward, but Mattison is still considered to be the lead back despite the addition of the former Ram to the mix. Fantasy managers can treat him as an RB2 option in this solid matchup.Source: NFL.com
