Aaron Rodgers Throws Four Touchdowns in Week 1
Aaron Rodgers was surprisingly efficient during Sunday's season opener against the New York Jets. Coming into the season, fantasy managers weren't sure exactly what they were going to get from the 42-year-old quarterback. Clearly, Rodgers still has something left in the tank as he was sharp on Sunday. Rodgers completed 22-of-30 passing attempts for 244 yards and four touchdowns without any interceptions in the win. This was a close game until the end, but Rodgers was able to lead his team to a 34-32 victory. Maybe this was lightning in a bottle or a change of scenery gave Rodgers new life. Rodgers might be worth a look as a streaming option against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

Justin Fields Scores Three Times in Loss
Justin Fields came out ready to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1. He got the fun started off early with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson in the first quarter. Fields was held in check until he rushed for a two-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He wasn't done yet as Fields rushed into the end zone one more time to give his team the lead late in the fourth quarter. He finished this game 16-of-22 on passing attempts for 218 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He also rushed the ball 12 times for 48 yards and an additional two scores. It was an awesome first game for Fields, but we'll see if he can keep the good times rolling against the tough Buffalo Bills defense in Week 2.

Dylan Sampson Extremely Involved in Week 1 Loss
Dylan Sampson rushed for 29 yards on 12 carries during Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He was much more productive and efficient through the air, catching all eight of his targets for 64 receiving yards. He finished with 16.9 points in PPR leagues, and he was still solid in half-PPR or standard formats thanks to his 93 total yards against the Bengals. Cleveland experimented with three different running backs on Sunday, but Sampson was far more efficient than Jerome Ford and Raheim Sanders. As a result, the rookie likely enters Week 2 as the Browns' No. 1 running back. However, he will face added competition next week when Quinshon Judkins makes his NFL debut. Judkins will likely be phased into the offense so that he has time to get acclimated, which means that he's not a major threat to Sampson's role right away. However, as the season goes on, expect the two rookies to provide each other with healthy competition on a weekly basis.

Daniel Jones Excellent in Colts Debut Sunday
Daniel Jones completed 22 of his 29 pass attempts for 272 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 1 victory over the Miami Dolphins. He also added 26 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The former first-round pick played clean, turnover-free football and took just one sack in his Colts debut. Some of his productivity may have been aided by a matchup against Miami's poor defense, but it's also possible that Jones is embarking on a career resurgence in Indianapolis. He'll get a much tougher test next week when he faces the Denver Broncos. Heading into Week 2, Jones ranks as a mid-to-low QB2 option in fantasy football.

Colby Parkinson Checks Back Into Game Against Texans
Colby Parkinson (shoulder) returned during the second quarter of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Houston Texans. Parkinson had briefly exited the contest and was listed as questionable, but he was able to check back into the contest shortly thereafter. So far, he is the only Rams tight end with a reception, but he figures to face some positional competition from Tyler Higbee and Terrance Ferguson going forward.

Puka Nacua Clears Concussion Check, Returns to Game
Puka Nacua (head) returned to Sunday's game after being evaluated for a concussion. Nacua was on the receiving end of a head-to-head hit that left him bleeding, but he cleared the mandatory concussion check and was able to get back into the game. His return puts the Rams' offense at full strength. He and Davante Adams will continue to form one of the NFL's best wide receiver tandems, providing significant passing game support to Matthew Stafford in Week 1 and beyond. Nacua and Adams both have top-15 upside at the wide receiver position in fantasy football.

Colby Parkinson Questionable to Return Against Houston
Colby Parkinson (shoulder) exited during the first half of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Houston Texans. He is questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had been targeted just once, resulting in a one-yard reception. Parkinson's injury comes at a time when the Rams couldn't afford to lose another pass-catcher. Moments earlier, Puka Nacua (head) exited to be evaluated for a concussion. Davante Adams remains Matthew Stafford's top target with Nacua and Parkinson sidelined, while players like Tyler Higbee and Tutu Atwell should also see additional opportunities in the passing game.

George Kittle Scores TD Before Being Ruled Out With Hamstring Injury
George Kittle (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Seattle Seahawks. At the time of his departure, he had caught four passes for 25 yards and one touchdown. The star tight end is one of the focal points of San Francisco's offense, and he has been able to stay relatively healthy, missing just two games in 2024. His injury represents a major concern for the Niners in Week 1 and beyond. Fantasy managers should monitor Kittle's practice status next week, as it's too early to tell whether this might be a multi-week absence. Luke Farrell will operate as the 49ers' primary tight end until Kittle can return.

Puka Nacua Taken to Locker Room for Concussion Evaluation
Puka Nacua (head) was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion during the first quarter of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Houston Texans. He is questionable to return. The injury appeared quite serious as Nacua had blood running down his face after taking a hit to the head from Henry To'oTo'o. At the time of his departure, Nacua had four targets, three catches, and 23 receiving yards. When healthy, he is a low-end fantasy WR1 in fantasy football. Davante Adams will operate as Matthew Stafford's primary target with Nacua sidelined, while Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, and Tutu Atwell also get involved in the passing game.

Kalel Mullings Questionable to Return Sunday
Kalel Mullings (ankle) exited during the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. He is officially questionable to return. The rookie had not registered a statistic prior to his departure. Mullings entered this weekend listed as questionable with an ankle injury, so it's possible that he re-aggravated an existing ailment. With Tyjae Spears (ankle) on IR and Mullings sidelined for the moment, Tennessee's only healthy running backs are Tony Pollard and Julius Chestnut.

Brock Bowers Expected to be Fine, No Injury Concerns
Brock Bowers (knee) told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that he's fine and has no concerns about his injury going forward. The star tight end originally exited Sunday's game against the Patriots with a knee injury and was listed as questionable, but it sounds like he won't have any lingering effects going forward. Bowers finished Week 1 with eight targets, five catches, and 103 yards. He'll rank as a high-end TE1 heading into Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers. In two games against the Chargers last year, Bowers totaled 10 catches, 108 yards, and one touchdown.

Drake London Injures Shoulder, Questionable to Return
Drake London (shoulder) exited during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had caught eight of 15 targets for 55 yards. The Falcons were already playing without Darnell Mooney (shoulder), so London's exit from the contest is a loss that Atlanta cannot afford. Ray-Ray McCloud III, Kyle Pitts Sr., and Bijan Robinson will operate as Michael Penix Jr.'s primary targets until London can return.

Chris Olave Briefly Exits With Chest Injury Before Returning
Chris Olave (chest) exited during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. The team announced that he was questionable, but he quickly returned to the contest. Olave will re-assume his role as the Saints' No. 1 wide receiver ahead of Rashid Shaheed. Given his role in a subpar Spencer Rattler-led offense, Olave should merely be viewed as a high-end WR3/FLEX option in fantasy football.

Brock Bowers Questionable to Return in Week 1
Brock Bowers (knee) exited during the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the New England Patriots. He is officially listed as questionable to return. The star second-year tight end was seen entering and exiting the medical tent, and he eventually returned to the sideline wearing his helmet. At the time of his departure, Bowers had caught five of his eight targets for 103 yards. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor for updates on the consensus TE1 in this year's drafts. For the time being, Michael Mayer will operate as the Raiders' No. 1 tight end.
