Ozzie Albies Starts Hitting, Could Return Friday
8 months agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies (toe) started hitting on Monday and could still return from the injured list on Friday when he's eligible to come off the 10-day injured list. Albies has progress quickly from his fractured big toe, which has to music to his fantasy managers' ears. The 27-year-old shouldn't be available on the waiver wire in any fantasy leagues despite his injury, which came when he was hit by a pitch last week. With Albies out, Luis Guillorme and David Fletcher have both seen playing time at the keystone in Atlanta. The switch-hitting Albies had gone 20-for-63 (.317) with two home runs, 14 RBI and two stolen bases at the time of his injury, so hopefully he can pick up where he left off when he's back. Albies is a must-start on the daily when he's in Atlanta's lineup.
