Oswald Peraza Shut Down For 6-8 Weeks
9 months agoNew York Yankees infielder Oswald Peraza will be shut down for the next six to eight weeks with a subscapularis strain in his right shoulder. The 23-year-old went for imaging on his shoulder as he was feeling consistent discomfort while throwing and it turns out he will miss a significant amount of time. It was a tough 2023 season for the youngster in the big leagues as Peraza hit just .191 with two homers and four stolen bases across 52 games with the Yankees in the 2023 season. He also hit .268 with 14 home runs and 16 stolen bags across 63 games at the Triple-A level. He was unlikely to see much playing time in the Yankees infield to begin with in the 2024 season but his fantasy value takes a major hit as he will miss a good chunk of the season altogether.
