With the salary cap tight this year, the Pittsburgh Steelers are unable to tender impending restricted free-agent special teams ace and backup outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi, according to a source. He'll become an unrestricted free agent when the new league year starts next Wednesday, March 17. Adeniyi was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in 2018 and had played his entire career with the Steelers. He has recorded 25 combined tackles and one tackle for a loss in his three seasons with Pittsburgh. There's a chance the team could bring him back at a cheaper cost. The lowest tender amount this year is $2.133 million. Adeniyi played 14 percent of the team's defensive snaps in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
