Odell Beckham Jr. Not Planning To Have Surgery During Season
3 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulders) is playing through serious injuries to both of his shoulders, but he is planning to put off surgery during the season. OBJ fell hard on his sprained right shoulder just before halftime of Thursday's win over the Denver Broncos and was questionable to return in the second half, but he toughed it out and returned to the field and finished the game with only two catches on six targets for 23 yards. The 28-year-old was able to practice on Monday, which is a good sign for his Week 8 availability against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but fantasy managers are likely considering dropping him in 12-team leagues. Beckham has caught exactly two passes in three of his five games played and doesn't have more than five receptions or 79 yards in a single game and has yet to find the end zone. Things won't be any more promising for him if quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) has to miss another game, either.
