Nolan McLean Sharp Again on Thursday
Nolan McLean tossed 7 1/3 innings of two-run ball en route to picking up the victory over Triple-A Omaha on Thursday evening. In this outing, McLean allowed four hits and struck out six hitters. He did not allow a walk. This was a much-needed bounce-back for the right-hander as he served up six runs in his previous outing against Triple-A Norfolk. However, before that rough showing, McLean appeared to be on the fast track to the big leagues, logging 37 1/3 innings to the tune of a 2.65 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP, with a 43:16 K:BB. Fantasy managers should continue to closely monitor his status as he could earn the call to the big leagues in the coming days. Given his strikeout upside, he is worth stashing in all 12+ team leagues.
