Nolan Gorman Expected To Be On Wild-Card Roster
2 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals have yet to finalize their roster for the Wild-Card Series against the Philadelphia Phillies for this weekend, but it's expected that when they do, rookie outfielder Nolan Gorman will be on it after Tyler O'Neill (hamstring) was not included. Gorman struggled late in the season for the Cardinals and was sent back down to the minors, and he finished his first big-league season with a .226/.300/.420 slash line, 14 home runs, 35 RBI, 44 runs scored and one stolen base in 313 plate appearances over 89 games. The 22-year-old probably won't start for the Red Birds this weekend if he makes the roster for the first round of the postseason, but he'll be a nice left-handed power bat off the bench.
