No Timeline For Marcus Stroman's Return
1 year agoChicago Cubs right-hander Marcus Stroman's (hip, ribs) exam showed that his right-rib cartilage continues to heal and he's doing light activity, but there remains no timeline for his return to the starting rotation. Stroman is trying to return from a fracture in his right-rib cartilage, but the 32-year-old could still have a ways to go before returning and he isn't a lock to make it back before the end of the regular season. He initially went on the injured list on Aug. 2 with right-hip inflammation and he'll need to slowly build his arm back up with hopes that the Cubs can secure a berth in the 2023 postseason. Stroman had mostly been strong for Chicago and fantasy managers this year before going down with injury, as he was 10-8 with a 3.85 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 111 strikeouts in 128 2/3 innings over his 23 starts.
