7 months agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Niko Goodrum went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians. Thursday's performance raised his batting average to a team-best .293, while his stolen base off of starter Shane Bieber was his first of the year. He has also smacked six doubles so far this year, good for a tie for fourth-best in MLB. The Tigers are playing Goodrum every day, he's eligible at every position except for catcher and he's off to a nice start batting in the cleanup spot. The Tigers play the Minnesota Twins next, though Friday's game has been cancelled due to inclement weather.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
