12 months agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard Nik Stauskas had another good scoring night against the Washington Wizards on Monday night. He scored an efficient 15 points on 5-for-10 shooting and also nailed three three-pointers. Sauce Castillo also added, eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 30 minutes off the bench. This was Stauskas’ second solid game as a reserve for the Trail Blazers and it seems he’s turning into the team's bonafide sixth man. The Trailblazers ranked just 27th in bench scoring last season, so coach Terry Stotts should continue to ride Stauskas while he’s hot. However, owners may want to wait a few more games before rushing to their wires to pick him up. As he is still prone to duds (like the previous game) and won't get much playing time if his shooting is off. Stauskas will look to continue his solid start to the season Thursday night against the Orlando Magic.--Daniel Brodie
