Nico Collins Not Expected To Play Thursday
2 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (groin) and defensive tackle Maliek Collins (chest) haven't practiced this week and are not expected to return for a Week 9 showdown against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. Both players missed the Week 8 loss to the Tennessee Titans after getting injured in Week 7. Houston had a tough time moving the ball through the air without Nico Collins on Sunday, and they allowed Derrick Henry to gain 219 rushing yards and two touchdowns without Maliek Collins on the defensive line. Brandin Cooks, who wasn't traded at Tuesday's deadline, led the team with four catches for 73 yards against the Titans, and he should remain the top pass-catcher for Houston on Thursday in a game in which the Texans will likely be playing from behind yet again.
