7 years agoWashington Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom was in true form in Game 4, notching three assists, two of which came on the power play. He now has six points through four games of the Stanley Cup Finals, and for the third time this postseason he scored three points in a single game. His 17 assists rank second on the team, behind only Evgeny Kuznetsov, and his 12 power-play apples lead the Capitals. Backstrom has really elevated his play since a slow start in his return from a hand injury, and it’s paying dividends to the Capitals efforts.
