2 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Nick Solak (foot) will be shut down for the rest of the season with what's being called a "small" fracture in his right foot. Solak was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock when rosters expanded on Sept. 1, but he was hit by a pitch last Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics. He was seen wearing a walking boot on Saturday. In just 35 games for Texas this year, Solak went 17-for-82 (.207) with three home runs, four RBI, 14 runs scored, three stolen bases and 19 strikeouts. The 27-year-old hit .278/.371/.489 with an .860 OPS, 10 home runs, 45 RBI, 38 runs scored and six stolen bases in his 57 games for Round Rock in 2022.
