4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens (elbow) suffered a right elbow injury in the Week 15 loss to the Cowboys that will likely require surgery, according to a source. That means that Mullens is unlikely to play again the rest of the season. You likely weren't looking Mullens' way anyway for fantasy championship matchups after he turned the ball over three times in the loss to Dallas. With Josh Johnson on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, it means that the Niners will be down to C.J. Beathard and Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) for Week 16 against the Cardinals on Saturday. Garoppolo is currently on Injured Reserve and his status is unknown for the final two regular season games. Beathard would be a desperation low-end QB2 in superflex leagues, while Arizona's defense has become an attractive streaming option this weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
