6 months agoThe San Diego Padres will recall starting pitcher Nick Margevicius from the minors in order to start on Saturday against the Marlins. The 22-year-old left-hander has been up and down in his nine starts for the Friars this year, posting a 2-5 record, 4.96 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 15 walks and 33 strikeouts over 45 1/3 innings in his rookie season. His mediocre 6.6 K/9 isn't very attractive for those in deeper leagues, and his 11 homers allowed in 45 1/3 innings is concerning as well. However, he'll be worth considering at Petco Park on Saturday against one of the worst offenses in baseball.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
