Nationals Preparing To Be Sellers At The Deadline
5 months agoThe Washington Nationals are preparing to be sellers during this summer's trade deadline, with hopes of moving left-handed starter Patrick Corbin, who is making $35.4 million in the final year of his contract. In addition to Corbin, the team could also trade relievers Dylan Floro and Hunter Harvey, and maybe even closer Kyle Finnegan. They are also hoping to trade veteran outfielders Jesse Winker and Joey Gallo and will consider dealing outfielder Lane Thomas if the price is right. Washington already promoted top prospect James Wood this year and are awaiting the next wave of prospects, including outfielder Dylan Crews, third baseman Brady House and right-hander Cade Cavalli, who should arrive early next year, if not sooner.
