3 years agoThe Washington Nationals are among the many teams interested in Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, but it's unknown if there is a prospect match between the two clubs. The Nationals do not want to trade top pitching prospects Cade Cavalli or Jackson Rutledge, their top two prospects, respectively. Washington has been hurting for infielders, especially at third base, and they'd like to upgrade over Starlin Castro at the hot corner. Bryant, 29, is in line to become a free agent after the 2021 season and is virtually a lock to be traded before the end of the month. He's upped his value by slashing .271/.353/.502 with 16 home runs, 50 runs scored, 46 RBI and even four stolen bases through the first half of the season.
