Nationals Could Revisit Trade For J.T. Realmuto
6 years agoThe Washington Nationals could "revisit" a trade for Miami Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto, according to league sources. The Nationals are clearly looking to upgrade at the position and have also been linked to Rays backstop Wilson Ramos, but he's now injured. Some think the Nats would now be willing to give up top outfield prospect Victor Robles in a package for Realmuto. The Marlins have long sought Robles and/or infield prospect Carter Kieboom. Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill has recently said it's "very unlikely" that Realmuto is traded, so the Nats would have to offer a significant package. Realmuto is an All-Star for the first time and is hitting a cool .310 with 12 home runs and 45 RBI at the break. His fantasy value would only increase with a trade to a contender.
