Nathan Peterman Re-Signs With Bears
2 years agoVeteran quarterback Nathan Peterman re-signed an undisclosed deal with the Chicago Bears on Thursday, according to a source. Peterman is a valued piece of Chicago's quarterback room and is now entering his seventh NFL season and second with the Bears. Justin Fields is the team's franchise signal-caller, but Peterman will head into this summer competing for the backup job with P.J. Walker. The 28-year-old played in three games (one start) for the Bears in 2022 and went 14-for-25 for 139 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He's played in just 13 games (five starts) over his five NFL seasons with the Bears, Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders.
