Nate Pearson Getting Closer To A Return
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Nate Pearson (groin) was scheduled to throw a live batting practice session on Tuesday as he builds back up from a right adductor strain he suffered late in spring training, according to pitching coach Pete Walker. Pearson is past his injury, but he must increase his workload in a simulated spring training setting after missing valuable time. The Blue Jays are also using this time as further development for Pearson, who struggled in his big league debut last year. The 24-year-old hard-throwing right-hander was placed on the injured list back on April 1. He's headed in the right direction, but the Blue Jays won't rush their most talented pitching prospect. Pearson has incredible strikeout upside in the long term and is worth stashing for fantasy managers that have the space.
