Mookie Betts Finds Stands Against Indians
6 years agoBoston Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts notched his ninth home run of the season Wednesday, in a 14-9 loss to Cleveland. The solo shot was Betts' only run batted in, and just his second RBI since May 24. As Boston's superstar, the 26-year-old continues to get on base at a .400 pace, and has now scored 45 runs this season. However, with just nine home runs and 27 RBI, Boston fans and fantasy owners are hoping some magic from his 2018 American League MVP season begins to rub off in this campaign, and propel the team into a winning streak. A four-game road series with the Yankees begins Thursday. It's possible that Betts can take advantage of the hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium and find the bleachers once again.
