Moises Ballesteros Fitting In Already At Triple-A
6 months agoChicago Cubs catching prospect Moises Ballesteros was promoted to Triple-A on Monday, and in his two games for Iowa, the 20-year-old is 5-for-8 (.625) with a double. He's even thrown out a runner on an attempted steal in a display of his defensive prowess. He's shown he can hit at every level, and at 20 years old he's proving it against older pitchers, which is a credit to how good he is. The backstop has a .282/.374/.454 slashline with 36 home runs and 14 stolen bases in 983 minor league at-bats. If he can continue to hit, he should be knocking on the doors of Wrigley before the season's end.
