Mitchell Trubisky Ready To Go For It Against Saints
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky said he wants head coach Matt Nagy to go for it in the wild-card playoff game against the Saints on Sunday. "I think we definitely need to open it up a little bit," Trubisky said. "As far as staying aggressive, I like going for it on fourth down. That's just a mindset, but I think, more importantly, we've got to score more touchdowns in the red zone." Chicago had four straight games of 30-plus points against bottom-10 defenses, but they scored just one touchdown and averaged 4.8 yards per play in Week 17 against the Packers. They did convert 40 percent (6-for-15) of their third downs against Green Bay, though. Nagy has much more confidence in Trubisky in 2020, but they'll be facing one of the better defenses in the NFL in the Saints. Trubisky will be a low-end starting QB for fantasy managers.
