Mitchell Trubisky Needs Long Playoff Run
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky isn't guaranteed to return as the team's starting quarterback in 2021, but that could change if he's able to pull a big upset over the Saints in the wild-card round on Sunday. The Bears declined Trubisky's fifth-year option and traded for Nick Foles before the 2020 season. He won the first two games as the starter but was benched for Foles in Week 3 against the Falcons. Foles was later benched in favor of Trubisky, who led the offense to 30-plus points in four December games to help the team go 3-1 and sneak into the postseason. There have been plenty of growing pains after he was the second overall pick in 2017, and Trubisky has gone 29-21 as a starter in four seasons in Chicago. He won't be very attractive in fantasy lineups on Sunday against one of the toughest defenses in the league in New Orleans. The 26-year-old has thrown for 10,609 yards with 64 touchdowns and 37 interceptions in his four seasons.
