Toronto Maple Leafs right wing Mitchell Marner had three assists as the team defeated St. Louis 4-2 on Monday. Marner helped Matthew Knies open the scoring in an even-strength situation 22 seconds into the second period, logged a power-play assist as Auston Matthews struck inside the first minute in the third, and completed his hat trick of helpers on an empty-net goal by Bobby McMann. It's the fourth consecutive game with multiple assists for Marner. The run is part of a seven-game point streak, which includes three goals and 12 assists.
