Mitch Trubisky Delivers Crucial Throw In Comeback Win
5 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 16 of 27 passes for 120 yards and eight rushing yards in the Bears last-second, comeback win over the Broncos 16-14. One week after Trubisky laid a dud against the Packers, the Bears offense took a very run-heavy approach to this battle. Trubisky was able to move the chains on some high-percentage throws, but the offense was stagnant for most of the game. Then with half of a minute to play in the game and the Bears looking at fourth and 15, Trubisky made the play of the game. He bought himself some time, stepped up in the pocket and delivered a strike to Allen Robinson to set up a game-winning 52-yard field goal with one second left on the clock. Trubisky's fantasy numbers are straight ugly right now, but the third-year quarterback made progress in this gritty road victory.
